Funds approved for Lilburn DDALilburn City Council approved Resolution No. 2020-08, which allows for the advance of funds to the Lilburn Downtown Development Authority (DDA). The funding will be used to purchase properties in the downtown central business district for the purposes of revitalizing and redeveloping the district. Vote: 3-0

Zoning action concludedA public hearing was held for Special Use Permit (SUP)-2020-02.The application for a small personal care home on property zoned R-1 (low density residential) was denied. The property is located at 735 Jacksons Mill Rd. Vote: 3-0

Alcohol license approvedBash Event Hall, located at 3870 Lawrenceville Hwy., was approved for an alcohol license for consumption on premise for beer & wine. This is a new location and has never held an alcohol license. Approval was contingent upon the business receiving an occupational tax certificate. Vote: 3-0

Other Business- A proclamation recognizing National Police Week, May 10-16, 2020, was read by Mayor Tim Dunn. The proclamation may be viewed in the meeting agenda.
- The City of Lilburn will be conducting a Special Election on May 19, 2020, 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. at Lilburn City Hall to fill a vacancy for Council Post 4. Advance Voting for the Special Election takes place April 27-May 15, 2020, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at Lilburn City Hall. La ciudad de Lilburn llevara a cabo una eleccion especial el 19 de Mayo de 2020, 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. en el Ayuntamiento de Lilburn para llenar una vacante para el Puesto 4 del Consejo.
